Donnie Martin - Skye Camanachd
Skye Camanachd SCIO has launched a fundraising drive to gather funds to erect a stand at their Pairc nan Laoch home in memory of one of their most prominent figures, Donnie Martin.
What an amazing amount of money raised for The Donnie Martin Stand at the 2024 Skye Show. A grand total of £2268.31 was raised between the Tea & Coffee stand run by the Martin Family and the donation buckets placed around the field.
Thank you so much to everyone for all the support shown towards this fundraising campaign - what an amazing community we live in!

⏰ Drop off time for entries is between 8:15 - 9:15am. With judging starting at 9:30am.
Please drop off your entries to the Craft & Cookery Tent, you can access this through the small gate opposite the Playpark which will open directly into the tent.

Calling all bakers, young and old! I'm thrilled to announce that I will be judging this year's Skye Show Cookery Competition and we need your delicious entries to make it a fantastic event! 📅 **Date:** 3rd August 📍 **Location:** King George Playing Fields
**Children’s Cookery Section:**
Entries will be judged in Preschool, P1 to P4, P5 to P7, and High School categories.
- **Class 1 (Pre-school):** 2 x Rice Crispy Cakes
- **Class 2 (P1 to P4):** 3 x Fairy Cakes
- **Class 3 (P5 to P7):** 4 x Iced Gingerbread Men
- **Class 4 (High School):** Set Recipe Raspberry Ripple Cookies from the Hebridean Baker
**Adult Cookery Section:**
Open to all bakers aged 16 and above.
- **Class 5:** 8oz Victoria Sponge
- **Class 6:** 4 pieces of Millionaire’s Shortbread
- **Class 7:** 2lb Gingerbread
- **Class 8:** A Savoury Bread (any form)
- **Class 9:** Jar of Jam
- **Class 10:** Jar of Marmalade
- **Class 11:** Jar of Chutney
- **Class 12:** Set Recipe Shearing Cake from the Hebridean Baker
🎟 **Entry Fee:** 50p per entry – Please bring correct change.
🏆 **Prizes:**
- **1st Place:** £3.00
- **2nd Place:** £2.00
- **3rd Place:** £1.00
📋 **Note:** All entries must be homemade and presented on a white plate (paper, china, or plastic). Jars must be a glass jar. Ensure your 'entry label' (see cookery competition page for labels) is folded and taped to the bottom of the plate/jar. Come showcase your baking skills and have a chance to win fabulous prizes.
